Rice from Grumolo delle Abbadesse

This rice is a historical cultivation introduced to the Berici Hills territory around 1500. The special characteristics of the soil gives the rice an original taste that makes it particularly suitable for risotto, a typical dish of Italian cuisine cooked with meat broth and flavoured with vegetables. The risottos of Vicenza are traditionally made with asparagus, peas, mushrooms and black truffles from the Berici Hills.
